FINANCIAL
Develop annual departmental budgets and manage ongoing execution with a focus on supply and labor expenses
STRATEGY
Understand and effectively communicate organizational vision, strategies, goals and objectives on both a local and system level.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
Responsible for all departments under management meeting hiring and ongoing training guidelines. Conduct coworker performance reviews and recommend annual merit wage adjustments. Train, coach and mentor members of the management team to ensure optimal operational excellence and coworker satisfaction. Develop succession plans for all critical positions within the scope of management.
PROCESS MANAGEMENT
Oversight of daily operations and other related activities for all facilities and related departments under management to obtain optimal efficiency and economy of operations while maintaining superior product quality in compliance with all governmental regulations and customer expectations. Ensures compliance with all governmental and corporate mandated programs including, but not limited to: directives identified by Quality Systems, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), employee handbook, training manual, HR Policy and Procedure manual, FDA, DEA and OSHA guidelines
INNOVATION
Develop and implement innovative solutions and continues process improvement methodologies to sustain a low-cost, highly efficient and reliable supply chain. Partner with sales team to help meet growth targets and build relationships with customers serviced by departments under management.
OPTMIZING RELATIONSHIPS
Maintain strong rapport and optimize relationships with senior leadership, key suppliers, and clinical customers and provide them with exceptional communication and service while exceeding their expectations..
NEGOTIATION AND UTILIZATION MANAGEMENT
Exert influence through data analysis to assist with product selection that drives utilization to preferred and/or contracted products and services while maximizing contractual value for the supply chain as a whole.

Qualifications:

Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s business degree preferred
  • Experience: The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of: 1. 10 years supply chain experience, including distribution, logistics and inventory management in healthcare or a related field 2. 10 years management experience, including a combination of professional and front-line coworkers residing in a widespread geography 3. Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Other: Experience in materials management, from planning through purchasing, and negotiation and administration of multi-million dollar procurement agreements. Success developing and deploying solutions that optimize quality, service and cost within a complex supply chain environment. Ability to effectively operate in a matrix management environment.
